Entertainment news sites all across the world went crazy when a video was released of a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 exploding the face of musical hit-maker CeeLo Green. The singer collapsed to the floor after the explosion and appeared non-responsive. Reports ensued of the singer being seriously injured. That is, until Saturday night when CeeLo posted a video to Facebook explaining that the footage was a clip from a video he is producing. Green added that it was a publicity ploy released to garner attention for the sketch’s release. Of course this angered the public after many well wishes and voices of concern.
What causes the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to explode?
Samsung recalled 2.5 million phones due to their explosive nature. Airline companies banned the device from planes. It appears that internal battery failure is to blame, but Samsung has not released any reason as to the exact cause of the phone issue. Past reports of Samsung phones including Galaxy S2, Galaxy Tab 2, Galaxy Tab 3, Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge have also been reported to overheat. Many victims have taken legal action against the massive corporation. Users have suffered third-degree burns and emotional trauma for which they seek compensation.
